Contact form
The form collects your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, the type of project and your message, as well as, if you provide them, links to your website or social media, a description of your business and photos. This information, like what you send us by email or phone, is used only to reply to you and to prepare your demo: processing is based on your request. Photos stay in a private area of the server, are never published without your consent and are deleted if the project does not go ahead. Nothing is sold or used for advertising, and this information is kept for no more than three years after our last exchange.
The sending IP address is recorded with the message, and a per-IP counter, erased after one day, limits abusive submissions. This processing is based on the legitimate interest of protecting the form.
Guestbook
When you leave a testimonial in the guestbook, we store your name, the company or trade you give, your rating, title and text, any photo or video you attach, the date and the language of the site. With your consent, these are published on macklos.com after review. A fingerprint of your IP address is kept for two days to limit abuse. A video filmed with your webcam is only sent if you submit the form. You can ask at any time for your testimonial and its files to be withdrawn or deleted.
Demo spaces
Mock-ups shown to prospects are protected by an access code. Each login or login attempt records the date, IP address, browser type and, where applicable, the name of the access account used. This log secures access (blocking after several failed attempts) and shows whether a mock-up has been viewed, in the publisher’s legitimate interest. It is kept as long as the demo exists and deleted with it.
Recipients and hosting
Only the publisher has access to this data. The site, the demo spaces and the mailboxes are hosted in France by OVH, acting as a processor.
Your rights
You may access the information concerning you, have it corrected or erased, request restriction of its processing or object to it by writing to contact@macklos.com. You will receive a reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr/fr/plaintes).
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising tools. To see which pages are read, Macklos uses Umami, an open-source analytics tool running on its own server in France: it sets no cookies, does not keep IP addresses, honours your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting and only produces anonymous statistics (page views, referring site, country, device type), for Macklos’s own use and never combined with other data. The demo spaces set a single, strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in to the mock-up for a few days at most.
