Your questions, our answers

The questions we are asked most often before starting: prices, lead times, demo, plan, quality. If yours is not here, write to us.

The questions we are asked

Do you only build websites?

No. A showcase site, an online store, an app for your team, online software sold by subscription or a tool that automates a task with AI: anything that can be built with code. If your idea doesn’t fit any box, let’s talk anyway.

How much does a project cost?

A website or an app: creation is free; you then pay for hosting and maintenance, €29 excl. VAT per month (Showcase plan) or €59 excl. VAT per month with connections such as payments, bookings or mailing (Pro plan), with a 12-month commitment and none after that. A SaaS platform: scoping workshop €690 excl. VAT, then MVP €3,000 excl. VAT. Studio services (visual identity, communication, AI tools) are fixed-price. Everything is on the Pricing page, and the demo costs you nothing.

What if I don’t like the demo?

We stop there. You owe nothing, and the demo is taken down.

I don’t have a website yet. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Your Facebook or Instagram page, your Google Business Profile, a few photos and a few lines about your business are enough to build the demo.

Will I lose my place on Google?

No. The addresses of your old pages are redirected to the new ones, and the new site starts on clean foundations for Google and for AI assistants.

My site runs on Wix, WordPress or Jimdo. Does that matter?

No. We take over your content, whatever tool you use today, and handle the switch on launch day. Your domain name and email addresses stay yours.

Who can see my demo?

You, and the people you give access to. The address is not indexed by search engines and only opens with a personal code. An access log, which you can check, shows who opened the site and when.

Can I manage my site or app myself?

Yes, if you wish. Every project can come with an admin area: you change your texts, photos, products, opening hours and user accounts without going through us.

Is the monthly plan mandatory?

Yes, for a website or an app: it replaces the set-up fee. It includes hosting in France, monitoring every minute, security updates, backups and small changes. It runs for 12 months, then stops whenever you like; if you stop, you keep your website and we hand over its files.

How can you keep lead times and prices so low?

At Macklos, we have industrialised the way we build: a proven base, recent production tools and fifteen years of method. What used to take a team months now takes a few days, with the same standard of quality. You benefit on time and on price: creation costs you nothing, you only pay for hosting and maintenance, and you see your product working before you commit. And because we build fast, we have time to check: that is the difference between a fast site and a rushed one.

Can a site built in a few days really be good?

Yes, and it is actually the opposite that worries us. A site’s quality comes from the number of times it has been looked at, tested and corrected. Because we build fast, we spend most of the time checking, refining with you and testing on real devices. Our checklist is public: see The Macklos standard.

Isn’t a site built this fast a cookie-cutter site?

No. What makes a site right is knowing what to put in it, then what to check. Every project starts from your business, your customers and your content, and is reviewed, at Macklos, by someone who has been shipping software for fifteen years. You see it before you decide: if it looks “the same”, you owe nothing.

What happens if my site goes down?

We know before you do. The Macklos platform measures every site’s availability every minute: an incident shows up immediately on our console. Your data is backed up regularly, and we can send you an availability report every month.

What about my domain name?

If you already have one, you keep it: we handle the technical connection. If not, you register one in your own name: it stays yours.

What is GEO?

More and more people ask their questions to an assistant such as ChatGPT rather than a search engine. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) means structuring a site so that these assistants understand and cite it. It complements classic search engine optimization on Google (SEO).
