What does a showcase website really cost?
At Macklos, we collected the published prices of 86 providers in France: agencies, freelancers, national offers and subscriptions. Then we worked out what their showcase website costs over 2 years, set-up and subscription included, and compared it with the Macklos Showcase plan: no set-up fee, €29 excl. VAT a month.

Our method
We searched the web for providers who publish the price of a showcase website, in four groups across France, with particular attention to Toulouse and the Occitanie region. For each one, we kept the entry-level package matching a standard showcase website of a few pages that the client can edit. Prices were taken from their own pricing pages at the end of October 2026.
- Cost over 2 years. The set-up price, plus 24 months of hosting and maintenance when the provider publishes them, as included in the Macklos plan.
- Rules that favour competitors. “From” prices kept as they are; prices including VAT or with no VAT mention converted to excl. VAT; unpublished hosting counted as €0; small changes, included with Macklos, never added to the others.
- The Macklos plan. No set-up fee, then €29 excl. VAT a month: €348 excl. VAT in the first year, €696 excl. VAT over 2 years.

Conclusion
Over 2 years, the Macklos Showcase plan is on average 2.7 times cheaper than the providers studied (2.3 times at the median), and up to 7.0 times cheaper than the most expensive. Only 6 of the 86 offers cost less over 2 years: very low-cost subscriptions or websites delivered without hosting.
Hence the banner on the macklos.com home page: 2 to 4 times cheaper over 2 years, depending on the family of providers, comparing our standard plan rather than a promotion.
Limits of the study
Prices change, and some providers include more pages or services in their entry package. The study compares published prices, not quotes, and the Macklos Showcase plan, with no third-party connection; an online shop or online bookings fall under the Pro plan, at €59 excl. VAT a month.
